Tiny Home | St Marys
1 Bedroom | 1 Bathroom | 2 Guests
Cottage Grove is a charming hillside home wrapped in bushland, just a mere minute’s drive from St Helens township. Two peaceful upstairs bedrooms – a queen with private toilet and vanity, plus twin singles – are paired with 1.5 bathrooms including a shower over bath. Cook with ease in the full kitchen, wake to Villino Daybreak coffee, unwind with smart TV and WiFi, and enjoy long evenings by the BBQ. A cosy retreat where treetop views and quiet surrounds do the rest.
Wake slowly at 39 Cottage Grove, where the morning light filters through the trees and the bush hums quietly beyond your windows. This is cottage living done properly – simple, honest and relaxing – perched in the hills above St Helens with leafy outlooks in every direction.
Upstairs, both bedrooms feel tucked away and peaceful. The main bedroom holds a comfortable queen bed and includes its own private toilet and vanity – a thoughtful addition that makes sharing the home easy. The second bedroom offers two single beds, ideal for children, friends or those who simply prefer their own space. From both rooms, you’re greeted by soft light and treetop views.
Downstairs, the living space carries that unmistakable cottage warmth – relaxed, welcoming and unpretentious. Settle into the sofa with a book, stream your favourite series on the smart TV, or simply watch the bush shift with the wind. WiFi keeps you connected, though you may find you don’t reach for your phone quite as often here. Winters heated by the wood fire, summers cooled by the air conditioner.
The kitchen is fully equipped for proper cooking, whether it’s a quick breakfast before heading out or a slow, shared dinner at day’s end. A coffee machine is ready each morning, stocked with Villino Daybreak ground coffee – rich, smooth and distinctly Tasmanian. Outside, the BBQ invites easy evenings, cooking under open sky with the scent of eucalyptus in the air.
The laundry area is located in the shed at the lower end of the yard.
The bathroom includes a shower over bath configuration. Please note this may not suit guests with mobility limitations due to the step into the bath.
You can walk into St Helens township for coffee, supplies or dinner – though it is a hilly return journey. The elevation is what gifts the home its privacy and beautiful bush outlook, so the stroll back is part of the experience.
If you’re drawn to cottages with character, quiet views and the feeling of being gently removed from the rush, Cottage Grove offers exactly that – a simple, grounding stay above the coast.
