Little Bich Retreats | Bicheno

1 Bedroom | 1 Bathroom | 2 Guests

Welcome to Little Bich Retreats, a collection of five premium one-bedroom townhouses in the heart of Bicheno on Tasmania’s East Coast. Thoughtfully designed for convenience and ease, each retreat combines modern finishes, quality materials and a relaxed coastal feel, all within easy walking distance of beaches, cafés and the foreshore.

Whether you’re booking one retreat for a quiet escape, or securing several for a group travelling together, Little Bich Retreats gives you the best of both worlds – private self-contained spaces and a shared coastal base right in town.

The Retreats

All five townhouses share the same core layout and quality:
One bedroom with a Queen bed and ocean views
Bathroom directly off the bedroom: deep bath, walk-in shower and toilet
Stairs up to the bedroom and bathroom (bed/bath are on the upper level)

Ground-level living with:
Full kitchen – cooktop, oven and mini-fridge
Dining area
Lounge with leather couch and Smart TV (streaming ready – BYO accounts)
Washing machine and clothes airer
Tas Oak cabinetry and polished concrete floors throughout
Parking directly outside each retreat
Private wood-burning firepit located just outside each townhouse – perfect for a quiet evening under the stars

Each retreat is fondly named after a local East Coast surf spot:

Retreat 01 – Governors
Retreat 02 – Aggots
Retreat 03 – Lennys
Retreat 04 – Douglas
Retreat 05 – Gumboots

For guests travelling with electric vehicles:
Retreat 03 (Lennys) and Retreat 04 (Douglas) each have an EV charger available for use at $15 per day.

Little Bich Retreats works particularly well for:
Couples travelling together who still want their own space
Small groups or families who prefer separate sleeping areas and bathrooms
Weddings or events in the region where guests want to be close but not crammed into one house

Each townhouse is fully self-contained – your own kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom – with a private entrance, parking and firepit. Guests can gather outside, head into town together, then retreat to their own space at the end of the day.
You’ll be staying in a highly convenient position on the Tasman Highway, close to everything Bicheno is known for. Park the car and enjoy how walkable it is.

Easy walks from your door:
Bicheno town centre – cafés, bakery, IGA, bottle shop, restaurants and shops (around 5–7 minutes on foot)
Waubs Bay Beach – sheltered swimming and white sand (about 6–8 minutes’ walk)
Redbill Beach – popular surf beach and coastal walking (10–12 minutes’ walk)
Bicheno Blowhole & foreshore – classic viewing spot with rock platforms and ocean views (roughly 10–12 minutes’ walk)
Whalers Lookout – short steep walk to panoramic views over Bicheno and Diamond Island (about 12–15 minutes’ walk)
Diamond Island sandbar (tide-dependent) – approximately 15 minutes on foot
Penguin tours and foreshore pathways – an easy stroll from the retreats

Short drive to:
East Coast Natureworld – approx. 5 minutes
Freycinet National Park / Coles Bay – approx. 30 minutes
St Helens and the Bay of Fires – approx. 1 hour
